eBay Mobile and Troy Polamalu of the Pittsburgh Steelers have launched a charity auction on eBay.com offering four tickets to Super Bowl XLV.
Through the generous donations of eBay buyers and sellers, the eBay Giving Works program raised $54.8 to donate to U.S. and U.K. nonprofit organizations in 2010. Every 24 seconds a donation was made through the almost 9 million items that were listed on sale, of which either a portion or the whole purchase was donated to charity.
A record $54.8 million was donated to U.S. and U.K. nonprofit organizations by eBay buyers and sellers in 2010. A donation was made every 24 seconds through eBay Giving Works, raising more than $91 every minute for nonprofits.
eBay has selected Triad Retail Media to sell and manage all on-site display advertising for eBay.com and eBay Motors. Under the agreement, Triad will provide end-to-end display ad management to deliver customized, relevant ads on eBay.
