The WorldofGood.com by eBay team is at it again (i.e. rewarding folks while promoting good causes). This time they’re taking a group of their friends, partners and customers to Guatemala in spring 2011 on a 10-day educational adventure across the Latin American country. They need your help in reaching out and inviting people to join their delegation to learn about foreign policy and trade with Guatemala and beyond.

To design the itinerary for this trip, they hooked up with Global Exchange, an international, human rights advocacy organization that’s been taking groups on such educational trips around the globe since 1989. The WorldofGood.com “Journey for Good” trip is designed for participants to explore Guatemala’s history, culture and political landscape, including the Fair Trade issues that are critical to WorldofGood.com and its sellers. As a group, you’ll meet with local artisan groups, political figures, and NGO leaders, leaving plenty of time for tourist exploration.

The delegation will include a couple of dozen of participants, including one contest winner who gets to come on the trip completely for free and bring a guest. That could be you… here’s how:

Okay, it’s not exactly Las Vegas but it certainly does have it’s own “What happens here…” moniker in some respects. Having only visited a handful of times, Washington D.C. still feels like a world unto its own and, thanks to the eBay Government Relations team, you have the opportunity to be a part of that world – for 3 days/2 nights – in the near future.

From the Government Relations team:
Everyday lawmakers in Washington, D.C. and state capitals around the nation are debating legislation that could impact your ability to successfully run a business on eBay. These public policies range from retail price fixing (laws allowing manufacturers to set a price below which you can’t sell your goods) or requiring you to collect & pay sales taxes on all of your out-of-state sales, to forcing eBay sellers to become licensed auctioneers (hog calling classes, anyone?).

We’ve read the bills and written the talking points. Now we want to hear firsthand — from you — how a law or other government regulation has impacted your eBay business. Or tell us how enactment of a proposed law could impact your business in the future. Thanks for participating and we look forward to hearing your story!

One winner will be chosen from qualified entries. The official winner will be treated to a free trip for four to our nation’s capital in 2010, including airfare for four and hotel accommodations for two nights in Washington, D.C.
