Gene Cook, who oversees eBay’s rapidly growing Collectibles category, is at the company’s booth (B11) at the show, providing tips on tapping into eBay’s network of 104 million active users globally to showcase and sell sports collectibles.  Among collectibles, you’ll find recent sports memorabilia items as well as classic and one-of-a-kind offerings.

Recently eBay held a very successful sports-focused auction event, Summer Catch, which featured a Babe Ruth-signed authentic OAL baseball that sold for over $20,000 and a 1971-72 Ted Williams Game Worn Texas Rangers Jersey that went for $10,000. In the same spirit, Gene has announced a special promotion that will allow sellers to list items for free under the ‘Sports Memorabilia, Cards & Fan Shop’ category starting Aug. 19. This will be a great opportunity to get your memorabilia up at absolutely no cost.
